HOW YOUR CHURCH CAN GET INVOLVED
"I
thank God for all the time you spend writing to me even though you don't
have to. I never thought I could meet such trusting and kind people in the
world especially while in here, but I know that through God all things are
possible."
"My perception of men behind bars was one of total apathy. That all
changed once I experienced the fire and passion for the Lord these men
share as a common bond. The Lord used these dear friends and brothers in
my life to knock me off of my spiritual "High Horse" and to help me
recognize my many short comings in my relationship with Him. I honestly feel
they have and continue to minister to me FAR MORE than I could ever
minister to them. "What
a blessing you all have been to my family and me. I am so grateful for
all your love and support. Every time I think about the excitement that
my family experienced with you all, it brings so much joy to my heart.
Thank you for reaching out to me and many others here. You truly can
make a difference in the lives around you. My prayer is to see the lives
of others around me changed by the power of Jesus Christ. You all keep
SHOUTING the VICTORY out there, and I'll keep SHOUTING the VICTORY in
here." "I've
been locked up so long that no one even knows me out there. Then I
turned myself over to God, and all of a sudden I'm getting mail from lots
of people. That makes me feel very good. It helps me ...First the cards
and then the letters which I cried for when I got them because they
showed that you care." "I know that I am not alone, that He is with me and has blessed me
abundantly with friends and family such as you who have supported me for
so long. Real friends are forever because they know the same Lord." "The
friendship and fellowship that my wife and I have shared with these men
since being involved in this ministry has truly been a blessing. They
have become a very important part of our lives and we
are honored to have them as our brothers in Christ's family. They have
taught us more about faith than anyone on the outside." "I
feel so blessed to know I have a Christian family that love
and care for me ...I have never ever experienced this kind of love and
support from total strangers." "Your
prayers and notes have been a great joy in my life and a reminder of how
God works in our lives and how close His children can be when they
follow His commandments."
"Holidays are hard times of the year for most inmates, and when someone from
the "outside world" takes time to do as little as think of us,
it's a blessing The Lord will bless you richly one day. You brought a
smile to my face."
